Lyla Van Bortel

Lyla has been skating freestyle for 10 years and on a synchro team for 8 years. Although Lyla lives in Rochester, NY., she trains full time virtually with Antonio Monaco, taking frequent trips to Nashville to work with the CitySkate team in-person. Lyla currently attends Bentley University, skating on the junior synchronized skating team, Lexettes 16, in Boston. She also competes freestyle through the Excel Series and Well-Balanced Tracks aiming to become a well-rounded athlete, developing herself in every aspect of skating. When not in school or on the ice, Lyla gives back to her community coaching "Girls On The Run" and competes horseback riding with her horse named ____!
